Boy’s Bedroom

This project was for a 3 year old boy who was transitioning from a crib to a big boy bed. The client wanted to update the whole room for this big boy transformation. One key request was that the new bed be a double size to accommodate guests.
We first brightened up the dark room with a coat of super white paint. I wanted to include a pop of color on the wall so I chose a platform bed and painted a fun headboard on the wall. To see more about the headboard process, check out the blog post here.
The client also wanted a comfy reading chair and storage for coats and shoes (this room doesn’t have a closet).
These photos were taken after the initial installation before all of the books, toys, and accessories were brought back in. I will update with new photos soon.
